NYC

I've been so busy since I moved back downtown! Sorority spirit week, first newspaper issue of the semester as A&L associate editor, finalizing my class schedule, a press conference today....hello, sophomore year. Anyways, here are some photos from New York! I couldn't really get out of tourist mode while I was there, so some of these are a little cliche. I think the video from my previous post captures more of NYC's true essence. I miss it already.

dear new york,

dear new york, i love you. no, seriously, i do.

our trip was so much fun. when sam and i first got there, we just explored. we went up to soho and hopped on a subway. i don't even know where we got off, we just picked a spot. over the course of 4 days, we saw times square (day & night), the 9/11 memorial, wallstreet & the new york stock exchange, madison ave, washington square park, nyu, walked the brooklyn bridge, biked the perimeter of central park, went to the MOMA and took a ferry to liberty and ellis island.
we ate korean bbq, cuban, sushi, mexican brunch, and italian/austrian something-or-other on a rooftop. and don't get me started on the bakeries or cupcake shops. it was all sinfully good.
i loved getting lost, having no idea which direction the subway was going, being constantly run into on the sidewalk, hearing everyone speak in a different language, and getting yelled at by the cashier at Bagels on the Square because i couldn't remember what kind of cream cheese i ordered. does that sound sarcastic? it's not. i loved it. i loved every second. i can definitely picture myself living there in a few years.
i'll post photos in a few days, but for now here's a 3 minute video of our long weekend.
thanks again laura and jeff for letting us camp out in your living room and for showing us around.

i will be back!

senior session: tara

Tara is gorgeous and was a natural in front of the camera. It was fun working with her--these are my favorites from her session. If you're interested in booking a shoot, please contact me!
Life update: I had a nice time with my grandparents last week. Wish I didn't have to work as much as I did, but something's gotta pay the bills. I went to the airport last night to pick up my best friend Sam. She's been gone for three months so we celebrated her homecoming by getting our nails done and eating queso and chocolate covered strawberries. Tonight was my last official shift working at Taco Mac (bittersweet) and tomorrow will consist of getting my hair done, eating an italian lunch and packing. For what, you ask?
Approximately 36 hours until New York City, but hey, who's counting.
